SpecialitySourcing Excellence Sustainability Manager, McCormick
Adrienne joined McCormick & Company as Sourcing Excellence Sustainability Manager in January 2021. In this role, Adrienne is responsible for developing and implementing sustainable sourcing strategies for global categories in partnership with the MKC procurement community. This includes developing tools and training to assess sustainability risks and identifying mitigation strategies, assess suppliers, and increase transparency and traceability within MKC supply chains. This work also requires collaboration and partnership with suppliers, including leading MKC’s GHG Scope 3 emissions program which includes the Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (S-LoCT) initiative. Prior to joining McCormick Adrienne spent three years as Director of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability at Olam Spices – one of the world’s largest agri-businesses. In this role she implemented numerous sustainability initiatives in global spice supply chains, working directly with both large-scale industrial growers and smallholder farmers in 14 origins. While at Olam, she was heavily involved in the development and launch of Olam AtSource – a digital platform that provides tailored environmental footprints and social sustainability metrics to customers. Adrienne’s previous experience includes 16 years in international development and management consulting including leading impact assessments of poverty-reduction initiatives with smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. She has consulted for a wide range of multinationals and global NGO’s including the Rockefeller Foundation, USAID, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Initiative for Global Development, and the Niger Delta Partnership Initiative. Adrienne holds an M.A. in Social Enterprise and a B.S. in International Finance from The American University in Washington, DC.
