2020 CIPS Australasia & Supply Management Awards – Young Talent winner Alice Bray (MCIPS) is the current Senior Procurement Advisor – Sustainable Procurement at Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency in New Zealand. She is responsible for the implementation of the social and sustainable procurement programme “broader outcomes” which pursue additional social, cultural, economic and environmental outcomes from procurement activities to achieve positive impact for communities.
With experience from a breadth of IT, corporate, social services and infrastructure related procurement, Alice prioritises building relationships and getting the right outcomes for her stakeholders, customers, organisation and communities. Alice contributes back to the procurement community through the CIPS Australia & New Zealand Profession Steering Committee, the New Zealand Sustainable Procurement Leaders Group and as a mentor across the sector for young procurement professionals.
Alice is a determined, passionate young professional who thrives on challenge, partnership, and activating opportunities that grow procurement’s potential to realise value. She is building the foundations to better enable herself and others to contribute to the growth of the procurement sector in a way that shakes up stale approaches, to see a more influential and diverse procurement landscape for both the buyer and supplier.
